ITHACA, N.Y. — The Trumansburg Central School District has lifted a lockout at all of its three schools Friday afternoon because of an incident that happened at the middle school.

The district website issued a statement at 12:35 p.m. saying that all exterior doors were locked and all classes were continuing as usual.
A district official said the lockout was lifted around 12:45 p.m. and parents were informed about the incident via an automated telephone call.
School officials declined to comment about why the lockout happened at this time.
A 911 official said police have not been called to the area within the last hour.
