ITHACA, N.Y. — An Ithaca College football player is making national headlines after one of the wackiest interceptions you’re likely to see this season.

IC Junior Skyler Kauf got his first career pick by simply picking the ball off the back of a Utica College receiver.
Here’s the video, from IC’s game this weekend against Utica:

“We wouldn’t blame you if you watched it over and over again. He literally grabbed the football off the other player’s back,” wrote NCAA.com. “It’s not a bad way to earn your first career interception.”
The video was also picked up by FoxNews, Yahoo! and a handful of other national media outlets.
Ithaca College lost the football game, however. Though rallying from a big third quarter deficit to tie the game, IC would fall to Utica in overtime 30-27 for its first loss of the season.
