The Ithaca Voice is seeking a reporter/writer primarily to cover local government, the school district and other goings on in the city of Ithaca and Tompkins County.

Ideal candidates will be ambitious, driven self-starters who can bang out a perfect lead and close a story with a tear-jerking kicker. They should also be excited about the opportunity to join our growing startup, about 16 months old, as we continue to try reinventing local news for the digital age.

Applicants must have some prior journalism experience.

Starting salary is $1,900/month. We are looking to fill the position within the month, so we recommend applying as soon as you can.
