ITHACA, N.Y. — Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen is set to perform at Cornell University next month, the university announced.

The singer — who was launched into stardom when she co-wrote “Call Me Maybe” — is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at Barton Hall.
The hit song spent nine weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 and was named the Song of the Summer in 2012.
The song was also nominated for a Grammy Award and was a multi-platinum-selling breakout song for the artist, according to Jepsen’s website.
She just released her third full-length album “Emotion” in August.
Tickets will go on sale at at 9 a.m. Thursday for students and on Friday for general admission. They can be purchased only at www.CornellConcerts.com.
