ITHACA, N.Y. – Ithaca police said a woman was threatened with a butcher knife and a man was found beaten and unconscious on a sidewalk in two Chestnut Street incidents that happened hours apart.

Police were first called to the 600 block of Chestnut Street at 11:25 p.m. after receiving reports of a man unconscious on a sidewalk.
Police released the following information about the incident:
On 09-11-15 at about 11:25 p.m., officers responded to the report of an unconscious male subject on the sidewalk in the 600 Blk of Chestnut St.
Upon arrival it was determined that the victim had been attacked by at least 2 unknown male subjects. During the altercation the victim was struck in the head several times with an object and also had property taken from his pockets.
The victim was treated on-scene and then transported via helicopter to a regional trauma center and is in stable condition at the time of this media release.
No suspect information is available at this time; however it is believed that the suspect and victim knew each other prior to the incident.
The perpetrators could face charges of third-degree robbery and second-degree assault if caught, police said.
Police were called again to the 600 block of Chestnut Street at 1:17 a.m. Saturday morning where they took one person into custody.
Shaylee M. Bisgrove, 22, of Trumansburg, was charged with misdemeanors for second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She was also charged with a violation for unlawful possession of marijuana.
Officials released the following information about the incident:
On 09-12-15 at about 1:17 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance and possible fight in the 600 BLK of Chestnut St.
Upon arrival several witnesses were interviewed and through investigation, it was determined that the above listed defendant threatened another female with a large butcher knife. No persons were injured in the incident.
Shaylee M. Bisgrove was arrested and transported to IPD where she was processed on the above listed charges. Bisgrove was released from IPD with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to Ithaca City Court on 10-14-15 at 9:00 a.m.
It is unknown at this time if this incident is related in any manor to the previously reported incident that occurred in the same general area about 2 hours prior.
