ITHACA, N.Y. — Police Officers and Firefighters are going to bat for charity in Ithaca’s First Annual Police Vs Fire Charity Softball Game. This will be the inaugural game of a new Ithaca tradition.

Each year all of the proceeds from the game will benefit a different charity, and this year’s charity is the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York.

The game is completely organized by the local Police Officers and Firefighters.

The game will be held at Ithaca College’s Kostrinsky Field on October 3rd, 2015 at 4pm. Tickets will be sold for $5 at the gate.

In addition to entry into the ball game itself, tickets are good for a “bounce house” area next to the field provided by CNY Attractions. Each ticket will also be entered into game-long raffles for items donated by friends and sponsors. Items to be raffled off to ticket-holders include 4 passes to Greek Peak’s Indoor Water Park, tickets to Cinemapolis, a $50 gift certificate to the Boatyard Grill, ESPN T-shirts and more!

Fans are encouraged to wear blue or red to show support your favorite team!

The winner of the game will be presented with a trophy provided by A & B Awards and Engraving of Ithaca. The trophy will be passed on each year to the winner to hold until the next game. If you’re interested in donating or being a sponsor, or have questions, please send an email to:
