BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — An Amber Alert has been issued after police say a three-month old boy was kidnapped by a non-custodial parent in the City of Binghamton.

Veronica Mitchell, about 26-year-old, is likely headed to Little Meadows, Pennsylvania with her son Lucios Mitchell.

Officials say she forcibly took the child during a supervised visit near Chenango Street.

Police released the following information about the incident:

The City of Binghamton Police has activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a child abduction that occurred near Chenango Street, in Binghamton, NY at about 12:30 PM on 9/29/2015 (Tuesday).

The child, Lucios Mitchell, is a white male, approximately 3 months old with short, black hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 2 feet 5 inches and weighs about 12 pounds. Lucios was last seen wearing a gray onesie.

The suspect, Veronica Mitchell, is a white female, approximately 26-years-old with long, brown hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing jeans and a gray sweatshirt. The suspect’s brown hair may be dyed to blonde and may be pulled up.

The suspect was last seen traveling on Chenango Street, possibly heading for Little Meadows, Pennsylvania.

Suspect is a non-custodial parent with a drug history who forcibly removed the child during a supervised visitation and then fled.

Anyone with any information on this abduction is asked to call the City of Binghamton Police at (866)N Y S-AMBER or dial 911 to provide information on a report or sighting.
