GROTON, N.Y. — Three people were taken into custody after police issued a search warrant at two Groton homes Wednesday morning.

Police said search warrant were executed around 8 a.m. at 208 East Cortland and 211 Main streets in the Village of Groton after a “lengthy investigation into narcotics trafficking.”

Groton residents Kyle D Henline, 18, and Sabrina L Townsend, 20, are charged with a felony for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. Townsend was also charged with a misdemeanor for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Koral J Marusarz, 58, was charged with a felony for first-degree criminal nuisance.

Tompkins County Sheriff officials said they seized a bag of about 2 grams of loose heroin, packaging material commonly used for the sale of heroin and $457. The street value for the drugs is estimated to be around $1,200.
