ITHACA, N.Y. — On Thursday, the Outdoor Summer Concert Series will continue as Jimkata, an electronic-rock band based in Ithaca, takes the stage on the Commons.

The Downtown Ithaca Alliance organizes the weekly summer concerts, which take place on Thursday evenings in front of the State Theatre and, now that the Commons are completed, under the Bernie Milton Pavilion.

Jimkata, a band that has become a staple performer of the Ithaca area, rose to regional prominence after its 2012 album Die Digital, and has performed at six of the last seven GrassRoots Festivals of Music and Dance.

The band’s Facebook page says that its members are “So excited to be playing on the BRAND NEW Ithaca Commons.”

The show is free to the public, open to all ages, and begins at 6 p.m. on the Bernie Milton Pavilion.
