ITHACA, N.Y. — A cold front moving into Tompkins County Tuesday is bringing thunderstorms and up to 60 mph gusts of wind, the National Weather Service reports.

Flooding in urban areas and places with poor drainage is possible during the storm, according to a Special Weather Statement. 

The Weather Channel is reporting that thunderstorms in Ithaca are expected to last until at least 4 p.m. and temperatures will likely drop to the lower 70s.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued in the county until 1:15 p.m.
