Bus To Nature: Route 22

DRYDEN, N.Y. — The Funky Monkey started in 2010 as a children’s boutique in Dryden.

The store offers clothing and gear at low prices that parents/guardians can afford.  I know firsthand how expensive it can be to buy clothing and necessities for a family.

After my daughter was born, I shopped at various places like ‘Babies R Us’ and bought clothes and baby equipment. The excitement was real and so I went out and bought all kinds of new stuff that quickly got expensive.

Jodi Robbins, the new owner of The Funky Monkey.

Children grow so fast during the first year and it seems that buying new clothes every couple of months is a necessity. And they don’t get to wear half of them which makes them pretty much brand new. Likewise with children’s equipment.

We never know if a child is going to like it until we try it.

The Funky Monkey has amazing low prices on clothing and equipment. It also allows parents/guardians to trade their goods that no longer have use for those who may need them.

The standards for selling and trading provide that all clothing and equipment be in good to excellent shape. The variety of sizes offered are newborn-14/16 in boys and girls.

The Funky Monkey has expanded their selection; we are now offering maternity and women’s clothing.

The store, located at 57 W. Main Street Dryden, offers a wide array of clothes and gear.
