ITHACA, N.Y. — A town of Ithaca man was arrested after barricading himself in his home and refusing to come out, according to law enforcement and a report in 14850.com.

Tyriek X. Spann, 19, was eventually taken into custody “without incident” after he failed to respond to police officers’ request to leave his home at 129 Snyder Hill Road, deputies said.

Spann was wanted for violating probation, according to the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Department.

14850.com reported that law enforcement were seen drawing their weapons as they entered the house and arrested Spann.

Spann was arraigned in the Town of Ithaca Court and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail, according to the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Department.’

The arrest occurred at around 5 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by the Cayuga Heights Police Department.

Spann was also recently arrested by Cornell police on Tower Road on DWI charges, according to 14850.com.
