The man was driving on the 1200 block of Dryden Road around 1 p.m. when state police say he crashed into a nearby ditch.
He had to be extracted from the pickup truck and was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse with injuries that are not life threatening, Sgt. Christopher Marinelli said. A 34-year-old female in the truck was uninjured.
He declined to release the driver’s name.
Marinelli said the man was traveling at an unsafe speed and possibly fell asleep while driving.
He said the man is being ticketed for failure to keep right.
