ENFIELD, N.Y. — A man who was airlifted after a fall in Robert H. Treman State Park Saturday might be fined for hiking off the trail, officials said.

The 73-year-old Minneapolis man was taking a photo when he fell about 10-feet at the base of Lucifer Falls, state parks spokesman Randy Simons said.

State Park Police, Enfield Fire and Rescue and Bangs Ambulance responded to the scene around 11 a.m. and the man was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania.

It’s unclear if the man will face charges for hiking off the trail.

“We’re looking into the specifics on that,” Simons said, adding that the man will likely face a small fine.
