Update 11:15 a.m. —

Police have identified the woman killed in a crash in Dryden as Kaila Mae Baraby, 20.

Barbary was taken to Syracuse’s Upstate University Hospital by Dryden Ambulance after the crash, which occurred at 10:38 p.m. on Sunday. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The accident is under investigation by the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Accident Reconstruction Team. Dryden Voliunteer Fire Department and Ambulance also assisted at the scene.

DRYDEN, N.Y. — A woman is dead after a vehicle crashed into her on Sunday night in Dryden, police said.

The accident was reported at 10:58 p.m. near the intersection of Quounist Road and North Street, near the entrance of a mobile home park, the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Police said the woman was hit by a sedan traveling north on North Street. She was transported to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse by Dryden Ambulance and pronounced dead.

The New York State Police Accident Reconstruction Team is assisting the sheriff’s office with the ongoing investigation.

The driver is not facing any charges at this time, police said.

Officials have not released the woman’s name as of Monday morning.
