Scattered thunderstorms, high winds and hail are possible in the area, along with conditions that could produce a tornado.
The watch is also issued for Cortland, Chemung, Schuyler and other Central New York and Southern Tier counties.
In Ithaca, thunderstorms and showers are expected to hit Friday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
