ITHACA, N.Y. – Police are responding to calls in Ithaca and Enfield Monday after two people were hit by vehicles, an official said.

In Enfield, a person was hit by a vehicle around 3:19 p.m.on the 200 block of Halseyville Road, a Tompkins County 911 dispatcher said.

The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, Bangs Ambulance and Enfield firefighters responded to the scene.

The patient is being airlifted to a hospital by a LifeNet helicopter.

The other incident happened at 3:24 p.m. near the intersection of West Buffalo and Meadow streets, the dispatcher said.

The Ithaca Police Department, Ithaca Fire Department and Bangs Ambulance responded to the incident.
