Downtown Ithaca Bingo
Shop, Dine, & Play To Win

SewGreen, Ithaca’s not-for-profit sewing center, is hosting the Wedding Dress Ball at Six Mile Creek Winery 7 to 10 PM on Saturday June 20. The Ball is a humorous take on wedding celebrations, says organizer Wendy Skinner, as well as a gala reuse event.

“Dig out your fancy duds,” says Skinner. “We’ll have some wedding gowns to be tried on, lots of sweet treats, door prizes, even ballroom dance mini-lessons. You can dance, or just sit and watch the sunset.”

The event is a fundraiser for SewGreen, a reuse/resale program for donated textiles, yarn, sewing machines, and art supplies. SewGreen offers classes and summer sewing camps, free apprenticeships to at-risk teens, and provides summer jobs for young people.

Tickets for the Wedding Dress Ball are available at these downtown businesses: Amuse, The Art and Found, Pastimes, Petrune, Sunny Days, and SewGreen or online at www.sewgreen.org/events .
