The South Hill dance club — just off of Ithaca’s Route 96B — was known for serving drinks and food, as well as hosting musical performances and salsa dance classes.

Here’s the note posted on the Oasis website:

14850 Today reports that Oasis Owner Pamela Kaminsky first announced the bar’s closure in late April.

Closing events have been scheduled and announced on the Oasis Facebook page. A call to Oasis Wednesday was not immediately returned.

The club was known for having loyal patrons, as a few reviews on the Oasis Yelp page attest:

“This is more than a dance club. It’s also a bar where you will find very nice drinks and food. I’m here right now, pleasantly surprised at how well my veggie burger was prepared.

“Dancing almost every night of the week. Latin, Swing, Tango, West coast swing. Love the bartenders. Good drink prices, and the owner makes an effort to get to know her clientele.
