Ithaca, N.Y. — An Ithaca woman has been accused of driving drunk with two children in the backseat.

Leeann M. Gagnon, 30, of Lake Street, has been charged with the following crimes, the sheriff’s office said on Friday:
— Aggravated Unlicenced Opeartions of a Motor Vehicle – 3rd (Unclassified Misdemeanor).
— Driving While Intoxicated (Unclassified Misdemeanor).
— Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .08% or Greater (Unclassified Misdemeanor).
— Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .18% or Greater.
— Two counts of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated – Child in the Vehicle (E Felony). (This charge is under Leandra’s Law, which makes a DWI with a passenger under the age 16 a felony.)
Here’s the police account of the arrest:
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on May 2 around 11 p.m. on Route 13 near North Triphammer Road in Lansing.
During that stop, they were approached by a driver in a red Chevrolet who seemed intoxicated.
They then discovered that Gagnon, the driver, was intoxicated and had two children in the backseat.
Gagnon was released on an appearance ticket to a third party and ordered to appear at the Town of Lansing on June 2nd, 2015 at 9:00 AM.
