The Ithaca Farmers Market is expanding our commitment to hyper-local food. Maybe even in your neighborhood! We’re excited to announce a NEW location for our satellite Thursday Market, plus the start of our East Hill Market, both in June!
The “Hancock Street Market,” held from 4-7 p.m. Thursdays from June through October, will be located at the former Neighborhood Pride building, now owned by Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services, who is sponsoring the market at that site. Thanks, INHS! The site is a stone’s throw from Fall Creek, yet firmly situated in North Side. We hope to bring fresh food closer to home for our local residents.
Consider doing your shopping a little closer to your neighborhood, on your schedule! Fresh vegetables, meat, breads, pastries, dairy and more will be available as the season offers it. Live music will serenade you as your shopping basket fills with the best foods the Finger Lakes has to offer. Wow. I can taste it already.
Alongside the market, the Finger Lakes Yoga Community will offer a community yoga class at the adjacent Permaculture Park this summer. The market is also teaming up with the Tompkins County Library to offer children’s activities, with more information on that to come.
SNAP/EBT benefits will be accepted at the market. For more information, visit ithacamarket.com.
The Ithaca Farmers Market is a cooperative with more than 160 vendors, offering five weekly markets during the summer growing season filled to bursting with local produce, food and artisanal crafts. Our full schedule is below.
