Ithaca, N.Y. — A fundraiser at the Carriage House Cafe Thursday night raised more than $5,000 in donations for the victims of a horrific earthquake in Nepal.

BBC News reports that 6,204 people are confirmed to have died and more than 13,000 were injured in the 7.8-magnitude quake.

Among the groups that helped the Carriage House fundraiser were Grey Gary. (The full set list is below.)

“What an amazing night of talent. It’s hard to qualify. The packed room was totally immersed from start to finish, and they expressed themselves with over $5000 in donations,” wrote Finger Lakes Music Press on its Facebook page.

Second fundraiser

Another fundraiser for the victims of the Nepal earthquake will be held at Level B on Collegetown’s Eddy Street on May 9.

According to the event organizers:

It’s the last Fish Bowl of the Spring school semester!

Come to Level B and buy a drink before 11PM to support Cornell For Nepal! Buy any specialty drink to help our cause even further! (Even if you don’t drink, just coming by will still help our campaign!)

Specials for the evening are: $18 Fishbowls $2 Washington Apple Shots $3 Shock Top Pints.
