Cortlandville, N.Y. — Multiple emergency agencies are responding to a report of a Hazmat incident at the SPCA in Cortland County on Monday, according to the Cortland County 911 Emergency Dispatch Center.

Dispatchers said they didn’t know the severity of total number of patients who were being transported from the scene. One dispatcher said he thought more than one person could be hospitalized, but added that this information was preliminary and unconfirmed.

Law enforcement were dispatched to the Cortlandville SPCA around 8:37 a.m. on Monday.

Among the agencies called to the scene, according to the 911 dispatch center: The Cortlandville Fire Department; the Cortland Health Department; the Cortland Sheriff’s Department; and others.
