Amanda Rojas, 36, left her home on 33 West Main St. Oct. 15, 2013 without informing her probation officer, Tompkins County District Attorney Gwen Wilkinson said.

U.S. Marshal deputies found Rojas hiding in a fake box spring in a Brooklyn apartment Feb. 11, Wilkinson said.

She said Rojas pleaded guilty April 10 to failure to register as a sex offender and violating her probation terms after she was convicted of second-degree rape in 2010.

She was sentenced to 3 years in prison with 10 years of post-release supervision.
