Update 10 a.m. —

Route 13 is back open after a 3-car accident closed the busy road Thursday morning, according to the 911 dispatch center.

Two people were injured — one was taken to a hospital in Syracuse; the other to a local hospital — but their injuries are minor, WHCU radio reported.

The Tompkins County sheriff’s office is investigating and ambulances were also called to the scene.

The dispatcher said at least one person was expected to be taken to the regional trauma center in the accident.

Ithaca, N.Y. — At least one person is expected to be transported to the hospital after an accident in Ithaca Thursday morning, according to the Tompkins County 911 Dispatch Center.

The accident  occurred on Route 13 near its intersection with Warren Road.

Route 13 is closed in both directions between Warren Road and Brown Road. Route 366 can be used as a detour.

The 911 dispatch center said emergency responders were currently on scene.
