Today also coincides with the International Day of Happiness, a fairly new holiday established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012.

We’re not sure Ithaca got the memo, though.

Our city looks like a shaken up snow globe at the moment, and the National Weather Service said in a Facebook post it won’t let up until the late afternoon and early evening.

About 2 inches of snow are expected to fall in total today.
