Learn about TCPL’s new campaign
The NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have signed senior forward Cole Bardreau to a two-year, entry-level contract, beginning with the start of the 2015-16 season.
The Fairport, NY, native led the team in scoring this past season (5-17-22), and had 18 goals and 35 assists in 103 career games for the Big Red. He also won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2013 World Junior Championships in Russia.
Despite being undrafted, and suffering a career-threatening neck injury against RPI his sophomore year, Bardreau was still able to establish himself as one of the best forwards in ECAC.
He will join an organization with at least one familiar face, as former Union defenseman and Team USA teammate Shayne Gostisbehere signed with the team last year.
Updates to come.
