It was the 38th annual overflow event, according to the Festival of Black Gospel’s Facebook page.

(Check out a 2013 video from the group:)

(This weekend’s festivities were cosponsored by several Cornell and Ithaca College student groups, including Cornell’s Student Assembly Finance Commission and Multicultural Concert Funding Advisory Board, as well as IC’s Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs.)

Here are 16 photos from the group’s State Theatre performance this weekend, “Living in the Overflow,” interspersed with a verse from Luke 6:38 cited by the organizers who promoted the event:

“Give, and it will be given to you.

“they will pour into your lap a good measure — pressed down”

“shaken together, and running over”

“For by your standard of measure”

“It will be measured to you in return”
