Ithaca, N.Y. — Forecasters have upgraded snow totals for Ithaca to 10 to 14 inches for the coming storm.

“Confidence remains high in a major snow event for the Finger Lakes overnight tonight into Monday,” Finger Lakes Weather says.

It’s supposed to start Sunday afternoon and last until Monday midday.

Snow will be falling at a clip of 1 to 2 inches every hours, according to the National Weather Service.

A winter storm warning has been issued for Central New York.

“The heaviest snow will fall from late tonight through Midday Monday, when snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible. Snow will gradually taper off by mid to late afternoon on Monday,” the winter storm warning said.
