Correction: A previous version of this story referred to the closed street in the headline as Maple Road. It is Maple Avenue.

Ithaca, N.Y. — A water main break at 110 Maple Avenue has closed that road to traffic, according to Ithaca’s Department of Public Works.

Motorists should avoid the area.

Pine Tree Road is also closed.

Here’s the DPW’s statement:

RE: WATER MAIN BREAK 110 MAPLE AVE
MAPLE AVE BETWEEN THE INTERSECTION OF MAPLE, CORNELL, ITHACA, DRYDEN, & OAK. AND PINE TREE RD. WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL THE BREAK IS REPAIRED.
LOCAL ACCESS ONLY VIA PINE TREE RD.
