Ithaca, N.Y. — The worst of a Nor’Easter storm is expected to miss Ithaca on Monday, but 2 to 5 inches of snow are still expected to fall locally over two days, according to forecasters.

The National Weather Service pegged total local snowfall at 2 to 3 inches for Monday and Tuesday; Cornell Weather said 2 to 5 inches.

Either way, we’re expected to be spared the brunt of a major Nor’Easter that could dump up to two feet along some portions of the East Coast. New York City is predicted to get hit by 12 to 18 inches of snow.
