Temperatures in Ithaca fell to the low single digits Thursday and haven’t budged much. Friday night’s forecast predicted a low of 7 degrees. We’re supposed to hit 15 degrees on Saturday.

We wanted to learn how our neighbors cope with these bone-chilling lows. So we sent Erica Moriarty, our intrepid Ithaca Voice “wintern” (that’s a winter intern, for our older readers), into the field to find out.
