The university posted a few photos of the model on Facebook on Tuesday:

The gingerbread library — which we can only hope is filled by tens of thousands of tiny gingerbread books — was created by Davana Bolton, class of 2016.

The university added:

“(Bolton) thought this would be a fun way to celebrate the school during its 150th winter.

The model is made from gingerbread, decorated with food dye markers, and held together by royal icing.

The windows are made of melted butterscotch candies and it is lit up inside by several LEDs installed on the board beneath.

It took about 3 days to put together stage by stage and includes 37 individual pieces of gingerbread.”

Commenters on social media were awed.

“Wow, impressive!! Is she a Hotelie?,” one asked. The answer, naturally, was yes.
