Newfield, N.Y. — A Newfield woman faces misdemeanor and traffic charges after a rollover ATV crash involving a 3-year-old passenger, according to state police.

Lindsey M Bushey, 35, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and the traffic violations of speeding, driving recklessly, operating an ATV without a helmet, operating an ATV on a highway and having an unregistered ATV.

Here’s the account given by state police:

Around 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 28 on April Drive in Newfield, Bushey sped in an ATV with a 3-year-old passenger. Neither was wearing a helmet.

Bushey lost control of the ATV and it rolled over several times. Bushey suffered several fractures and was transported to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. The child was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Bushey will appear in court on Nov. 11. She was arrested on Sunday.
