Dispatchers got a call right before 8:30 a.m. from a woman at 2232 Slaterville Road who said her car was on fire in her driveway.
Firefighters from Brooktondale, Slaterville and Ithaca arrived at the scene, “which was up a steep driveway with a few switch backs making access for equipment and personnel very difficult,” a press release said.
Firefighters worked to put out the fire. The burning car was close to the owner’s home and a second car, but the fire was ultimately contained to the Mercedes and put out.
The Brooktondale Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
