Lights On Afterschool!

In communities today, 15.1 million children take care of themselves after the school day ends. Afterschool programs keep kids safe, help working families and inspire learning. Join us, along with 7,500+ afterschool programs nationwide, in celebrating our afterschool programs.

· Who: 4-H Urban Outreach at West Hill
· What: An open house event with snacks, interactive activities and a chance to tour the program with youth participants as your personal guide
· When: Thursday, October 23, 2014 2:30 – 5:30 pm
· Where: Lehman Alternative Community School located at 111 Chestnut Street, Ithaca, NY
· Why: Come and experience first-hand all of the fantastic activities the 4-H Urban Outreach at West Hill 4-H Afterschool program is providing the youth of Cayuga Heights & Beverly J. Martin Elementary Schools, Boynton Middle School, the Lehman Alternative Community School and Ithaca High School. The youth will showcase their programming for the 2014-5 academic year in computer coding, film-making, healthy eating and active living, and community improvement projects. In addition, we will be holding a solar-light fundraiser to bring light and love to families in Haiti. $20 affords you a solar light for you and your family and one for a family in Haiti who won’t have to worry about the price of fuel or the danger of using kerosene. This fundraiser helps supports 4-H and Love Knows No Bounds.
