Ithaca, N.Y. — An Ithaca man has been accused in a robbery that occurred on West Seneca Street two weeks ago.

Joshua F. Conklin, 25, has been charged with two felonies, including third-degree robbery, in connection with a purse-snatching on Sept. 14.

Conklin was arrested after a brief chase on the 200 block of Cayuga Street on Friday at around 2:10 p.m.

Police say Conklin — who is homeless — stole a purse from a woman by grabbing her purse strap, pulling her to the ground and ripping the purse from the strap.

“Ithaca Police Investigators, assisted by the Groton Police, worked on this case throughout the last 12 days,” a press release from Sgt. Jacob A. Young said.

Conklin faces the following charges:

— Third-degree robbery, a felony

— Fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony

— Resisting arrest, a misdemeanor

— False personation, a misdemeanor
