Ithaca, N.Y. — North Meadow Street/Route 13 will be narrowed from three lanes to one in a small stretch of Ithaca from Sunday night to Monday morning, possibly causing significant delays, according to city officials.

In addition to narrowing that road, the project to repair a leaking water main will close off 500 West Buffalo Street to traffic.

The closure of two lanes on Route 13 will span from the intersection of West Seneca Street and end 150 feet north, at the intersection of West Buffalo Street and Route 13.

Officials say the effect on traffic could cause backups as far back as Route 13’s intersection with Elmira Road. The blue line below indicates where officials expect delays.

The project is expected to last from 6 p.m. Sunday until 6 a.m. Monday.
