Freeville, N.Y. — Two people have been hospitalized in an accident in Tompkins County Friday morning, according to firefighters at the scene of the crash.

Both of those hospitalized in the two-car collision were the drivers. Freeville firefighters and Tompkins County sheriff’s deputies worked to secure the scene around 10 a.m. Friday.

The extent of the drivers’ injuries is unknown. Emergency radio reports indicated that a helicopter may have to be called. TLC Ambulance was also called to the scene.

Emergency personnel were set up at the intersection of George Road and Freeville Road, which appears to be just south and east of the Freeville village limits.

A tow truck had also arrived on scene. Traffic along the road was being rerouted Friday morning.
