Ithaca, N.Y. — A member of the band Wilco will be performing at Ithaca’s State Theatre in September, Dan Smalls Presents announced Monday.
Jeff Tweedy is bringing his side project, “Tweedy,” to Ithaca for a Sept. 24 show.
Syracuse.com’s Chris Baker reports:
Jeff Tweedy formed his eponymous band in June of this year along with his 18-year-old son, Spencer Tweedy. The duo will release its debut album, “Sukierae,” on Sept. 23, one day prior to the Ithaca show.
The Ithaca concert will feature a full band set from the Tweedy duo, followed by a solo set by Jeff Tweedy.
Tweedy’s act joins a long list of highly-anticipated State Theatre performances planned for this year. Tickets go on sale on Friday.
“Don’t wait – get them early while they last and buy the album when it comes out the day before our show,” Dan Smalls said on his Facebook page.
