Ithaca, N.Y. – Anton “Tony” Tschosik, a 2013 Cornell graduate who played on the men’s baseball team as a freshman, has died, according to multiple reports.

He was 22.

Tschosik died on July 4 in Chicago. The cause of his death is undetermined and under investigation, the Cook County Medical Examiner said in a brief interview Friday.

A resident of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Tschosik attended the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity at Cornell and made the dean’s honor list, his obituary states.

During his freshman year, Tschosik pitched for the men’s baseball team. He played as a varsity baseball pitcher at Palm Beach Gardens High School before attending Cornell.

After graduating, Tschosik worked as a financial analyst at Lincoln International, L.L.C. in Chicago.

Memorial services for Tschosik were held Wednesday. His funeral was held Thursday in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
