Lansing, N.Y. — A Lansing woman has been arrested after firing three shots into the air during an argument with family on July 23, sheriff’s deputies said today.

Keiley A. Reeves, 24, has been charged with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

Here’s the account given by the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office:

Around 11:14 p.m., deputies were called to Ford Hill Road in Lansing for a report of gunfire.

When they arrived, police found Reeves in a verbal argument with some family members.

“The verbal altercation escalated to the point where Reeves retrieved a firearm, loaded the firearm and discharged three shots into the air while in the presence of others and in close proximity of an occupied dwelling,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release.

Reeves will appear in Lansing Town Court on Thursday at 7 p.m.
