Ithaca, N.Y. — A person arrested in a Cayuga Heights robbery has been cleared, Cornell police said Monday.

Earlier in the day, Cornell police said that an arrest had been made in the armed robbery/burglary of a house on The Parkway in Cayuga Heights.

That man, however, has since been found to have had no involvement in the incident.

Police are therefore still looking for the suspect in the robbery, said to have occurred around 10:23 p.m. Sunday.

Police say he is a white male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall wearing khaki pants, a white sleeveless T-shirt and a backpack. He displayed a small handgun during the crime.

Cayuga Heights police are handling the investigation. They can be reached at 607-257-1011.
