Ithaca, N.Y. — Ithaca police are seeking a man in connection with an attempted robbery at the Byrne Dairy on North Meadow Street, according to Officer Jamie Williamson.

Here’s the account police gave of the 8:45 p.m. incident at the Byrne Dairy at 215 North Meadow Street:

A man entered the store and demanded money from the cash register. He did not display a weapon.

The employee did not turn over any money but instead activated the store’s panic alarm. The man fled on foot. 

The suspect is described as a white man in a white t-shirt wearing sunglasses, a black and white hat and khaki shorts.

Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call them at 272-3245.
