A horse groomer was stabbed at the Finger Lakes racetrack in Ontario County on Friday, according to multiple reports.

Reports the Henrietta Post:

“Sheriff’s deputies say a man was stabbed multiple times at the horse stable between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Friday. He was transported to Strong Hospital. Sheriff’s deputies say his injuries are not life threatening. Deputies say the victim is a horse groomer at the race track.

Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack released a statement saying, “The assault that occurred this morning took place within a secured area of the property that is not accessible to the public and is far removed from the race track and gaming floor patron areas.

This appears to be a domestic incident between two individuals who assist trainers in caring for horses and are not directly employed by our company. Our thoughts are with the victim and his family at this time.”
