Ithaca, N.Y. — Tuesday’s benefit event for the victims of the Simeon’s crash brought in a total of $9,000, according to the event’s organizers.
The fundraiser included a concert — with performances by the Jeff Love Band, Tru Bleu and Dave Hawthorn — a silent auction and raffles.
The event was organized by Vicki Taylor Brous of the Downtown Ithaca Alliance and Deb Mohlenhoff of Ithaca’s Common Council. Hundreds of people were in attendance.
The event will benefit those affected by the June 20 crash, including Simeon’s staff, building tenants, Titus Gallery owners and the Cornell Barbershop staff.
