Owego, N.Y. — A woman has been accused of stealing between $21,000 and $74,000 from a youth football league in Tioga County, according to sheriff’s deputies.

Eileen “Lee” Bundy, 49, of 952 Glenmary Drive in Owego, faces charges of third-degree larceny, a felony. She was arrested on Friday.

Police say Bundy, who was the treasurer  of the Apalachin Youth Football League, began stealing from it in January 2011.

Bundy will appear in Owego Town Court on June 26, 2014.

Authorities were alerted to the theft when the youth football league lodged an embezzlement complaint with the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office, according to a press release.
