A Rochester man was arrested by federal agents and charged with threatening President Barack Obama.

On Friday, the Rochester Democrat-Chronicle reported:

“Secret Service agents, accompanied by State Police troopers, arrested Brandon Correa on Kingston Street Wednesday, court papers show.

State Police had monitored Correa’s Twitter feed after threats on the governor and lieutenant governor, according to an affidavit from Secret Service Special Agent Joel Blackerby.

Correa also allegedly Tweeted a threat against the president, saying in part, “im going to watch you die.”

When questioned at his home, Correa allegedly said he has received messages from Jehovah for more than four years. During questioning, Correa said, “Obama is pure evil and must die,” Blackerby alleged in the affidavit.
